Roda Beach Resort & Spa

Where to start? First impression and last impression? Reluctant reception staff. We paid for two rooms for five people. I asked the receptionist if we could have rooms next to each other? The answer is negative. We paid a daily tax of 10E per room per day, so I expect to be able to use all hotel services including accommodation. Unfortunately, you have to leave the room at 11 AM and you have to spend your time anywhere else until 6:30 PM. The luggage room is too small to fit all the luggage of all the departing people, so those unlucky enough to not fit in this room have to leave it in an unguarded corner. So where to spend time on the last day? Theoretically on the beach or by the pool, but you have nowhere to change, the receptionist referred us to the toilets. There is a shower, but you can't change clothes when it's dry (wet floor), and you're afraid of catching mold. I would rather see the hotel as a better three-star hotel, it is definitely not a five-star hotel. As far as I can compare, we were in one hotel in Crete, which was marked with four stars, and there it was much better, more modernly equipped rooms, in better condition and definitely better food. The hotel is long past its prime and the rooms would need major renovation. 1) It would definitely be necessary to paint the rooms and bathrooms, there are water maps on the ceiling and the paneling and the bathtub is unprofessionally plastered over. 2) In general, the equipment of the room is outdated and out of date, even an ordinary clothes dryer is missing. 3) Upholstered headboards probably haven't been cleaned since they've been there. Because there are greasy stains from the heads of the previous occupants of the rooms, which is disgusting. 4) Ants in the room, ants in the toilet. 5) In the communal toilets, the speaker, which is long dead, emits posthumous sounds instead of music. 6) The air conditioning vents in the lobby or restaurant condense heavily, so if you want to make a coffee or sit under an air conditioning vent, water will drip on you. Because of this, the vents are rusty and the plaster around them is peeling off. 7) Forget about Wifi in the room, or prepare a 50E refundable deposit for renting a router. 8) Wifi should work only in the lobby by the reception, unfortunately I rarely connected to it due to the large number of people. 9) Pools and waterslides also look better in photos than they actually are. 10) Apart from the first and last day, we had to deal with power outages here, even four times in one day. It's not very pleasant when you're sitting down to breakfast and suddenly you can't see your plate. Then you wait 3/4 hours before they start the diesel generator. The hotel is not entirely to blame for this, on the other hand, there are so many buildings here and you won't see a single solar panel on the roofs as a possible source of electricity in case of blackouts. Wonderful hotel. Great service, variety of food and lots of attractions for children and all guests. The rooms were cleaned every day, very clean and beautiful. Private beach with beautiful views, many swimming pools. The best hotel I have ever stayed in before! I definitely recommend it. Kostas makes the best Black coffee! Thank you! Corfu is wonderful!

Amazing place, attentive and charming staff. Ultra clean. Pools everywhere. Beautiful beaches with crystal clear sea. Views to Albania. Roda is a short beach walk away where you can book boat trips and has excellent bars and food local buses are cheap and frequent. Went all inclusive with Jet 2 from JLA (LPL)

It’s our last day here at Roda beach resort and spa. The hotel is beautiful with amazing grounds, plenty of choice when it comes to food and drink. The rooms are lovely and you will not be bored when it come to entertaining your famliy. All staff was extremely helpful and went above and beyond to help! A special thankyou Makram a credit to the hotel. Thankyou Roda beach for a lovely stay we will definitely be returning

Nice hotel! Great value! We enjoyed staying here. The pools, the food all the restaurants and the beach is on very good level. May be if they change the mattresses will make the rooms more comfortable. All the team look very good and helpful! Regards!

Just had 1 week all inclusive holiday at this resort. The location is perfect it’s on the beach there’s plenty of space so doesn’t feel over crowded. It’s a 5 star hotel but I feel it’s a 4 star at best. Very clean, all the staff are friendly and the food tasty. There is 3 al a carte options to choose from, we picked the Greek option it was nice but not really any different. We had a pool side room, the room was clean but started to feel run down, walls had marks/ peeling away and the decor old fashioned and mouldy/ stained curtains. The food options were pretty much the same most nights but it all tasted great. The alcohol was poor, everything tasted watered down and the fizzy drinks were flat and tasted funny. We got bottles of water delivered to our room most days and they cleaned the room every day. The crepe stand nearest the main part of the hotel was open until 12am and they had a nice range of ice creams. A lovely bar at the beach to sit and relax in too with crepes and ice cream until 5pm. Entertainment was standard. Didn’t use the spa and couldn’t see a price list just had a pushy woman creating packages but over priced. There is a shop on site if you want to buy decent alcohol and fizzy pop but if you walk along the beach past the other hotel there’s another shop which is slightly cheaper! There is also a Greek restaurant down there which I heard was very good too. I’d recommend this hotel for food and location it’s chilled and clean which I think most important. Ideal for friends and families for a relaxing holiday. If you like to party and want to go to lots of places then I wouldn’t recommend as your quiet out the way up north of the island.

Makran is the best staff in the hotel he is friendly and made our holiday food is nice and hotel is very clean bleach is lovely and the swim up pool is beautiful and would definitely book again weather was fantastic but makram is such a nice guy will definitely return

This trip was a surprise birthday present from my son and his partner. Myself and my 16 year old daughter flew to Corfu then transferred to Roda Beach Resort and Spa. €70 tourist tax was an unexpected sting on arrival. The hotel has a real wow factor, the buildings and layout of the resort were beautiful, the beach and views were perfect. Our room was comfortable and clean, toilet was discoloured and could have done with being replaced but this was cosmetic. We had a small patio that opened straight out to a pool. The food was plentiful and the variety on offer could not be faulted. Bottled water was provided daily and additional bottles were always available. Initial impression was 10/10. That did not last…. The WiFi was intermittent throughout the complex. The drinks were inferior, the fruit juices served tasted like watered down cordial. The fizzy juice was barely carbonated and lacked flavour. The alcoholic drinks didn’t fair any better. The on-site shop was overly expensive On the 3rd day my daughter suffered food poisoning. On the 5th day I went down with food poisoning. We spent 4 days room bound with diarrhoea and vomiting so not the all inclusive holiday of a lifetime my son had hoped to give me.
